Hmm. I need to come up with a persuasive speech topic on a social issue for my communications class.
I'm having a hard time coming up with something specific enough to write a 5-7 minute speech on.
My other speech, that's due next week, is an informative speech about an international city...I might do that one on the city of lights. Or pick something random and obscure...lol
Cartagena, Columbia.
Why? I have absolutely no idea, but it was the first city that came to mind when I thought of a random city. :24:
For persuasive... you should totally give a speech on why the Coyotes need to stay in Phoenix.
I don't know if this helps any... but when I did my speeches, I wrote them like I would write an essay or a paper first, and then adapt it into a speech. Come to think of it, maybe that wasn't as novel a concept as I thought it was originally. But I just always found it easier to write it that way to see if it even worked, and because I could get my words out in that fashion better than if I was actually writing a "speech". As you and I both know, I communicate much better through thought out written word than I do actually speaking. :24:
Just a thought... probably a dumb one in retrospect though. /facepalm
That's actually the worst way to write a speech. At least according to my Professor, and he had a Ph. D. :dunno
Eh, it worked for me... and I got an A+ in the class. :dunno Wrote it as an essay, and then adapted it to speech format, and then outline.
Do you want a speech outline to use? I got an A in public speaking so it won't be bs or anything.
An outline makes a speech, cake. Unless you hate talking infront of people.
