Huu, "Ms. StripedCat". *g* That sounds pretty formal. I would've stood at attention, if I had been able to. :D

Pfft, I'm just being respectful!

And don't you worry about that standing at attention anyways, I'm hoping you'll get some good info from the doctor. :(

I hope that, too. Thank you. :) (At all: it can just get better :24:)

How are you today? Did the visit at the financial aid office turn out well? I hope so.

Yes, I was quite fortunate to be in and out of there rather quickly. And all my information is entered into the system, so I'll be able to use the financial aid credit to buy my textbooks, thank god. It's going to set me back somewhere between 700-900 dollars! :eek

they charge an arm and a leg for textbooks. One of my books is $190 and another one is $220..it's ridiculous. The worst part is that it seems as though they come out with a new addition every year so you can't get a used copy.

The worst part is that my tuition for the semester is only $1155 for the five classes I'm taking. I'm going to drop almost as much money on the books as I am on the classes themselves.

Check out chegg.com, rent your general education and lower division books. NEVER BUY.

My school usually has a rental program, but it seems as though half the books aren't on the rental list this semester, which fucking blows.

Don't buy books from the bookstore!!!!

Go on eBay and look up the books you need. They'll have books which are sometimes only one edition behind and only cost $20.

I buy my books this way every semester.

the problem with buying them from half.com or anything else is that financial aid checks don't typically go out until after the semester has started, and generally speaking, I need the books during the first few days of class..and I don't have the extra cash hanging around to buy them on my own.

Here are links to the books on Chegg.com. It's a better deal to rent these rather than buy them, and lose your ass when you try to sell them at the end of the semester.

Also, no offense to Kyle. I don't recommend using books older than what your Professor requires. YMMV.
