can't expect Haynesworth to be the end all and be all....the Patriots looked gassed as well....I was kind of hoping that Henne would make it a tie game, to see who would have won the track meet. The Patriots showed a lot of flaws in their defense and now we play San Diego and I am sure that Rivers wants to carve our defense apart now...

I'd be really fucking afraid of Rivers next week if I were you guys... assuming you can't get your secondary patched up.

So, a week after nearly knocking off the #10 team in the country... we barely escape our home stadium with a win against an FCS team. We were out-gained in yards, had less time of possession, and were actually behind in the 4th quarter before finally scoring to go ahead for good. Of course, it took 5 runs up the middle in order to even score that TD. The game was a total and complete embarrassment. Yet our coach comes out after the game and says that we played a tough game and that he's proud of the team for getting a win. I give up. It's time for a new coach, Hill lost his balls after our loss to USC in '05. He has no killer instinct... we were up 14-0 in the first quarter against these guys, and then he got conservative and let them hang around. Our defense sucked, our offense was largely horrible except for two long bombs for TDs. Just an all-around pathetic performance.

Oh, and in other news... Pitt and Syracuse to the Big Least. I'm expecting this to pave the way for KU and KSU to move to the Big Least as replacements... hell, maybe even Baylor and ISU for that matter. This may be a preemptive move by the ACC in anticipation of the SEC going after Clemson and Florida State to go along with A&M and Mizzou in the west.

OU and OSU should be headed for the Pac-12 this next week, along with potentially TT and Texas... but the Longhorn Network may prevent a Texas move.

I am so glad Detroit never got Cutler. Denver wanted way to much for a guy that has been remarkably unspectacular.

I am an atheist but would somebody please pray to God to keep Matthew Stafford healthy. This kid may end up being more than the real deal but one of the all time greats if he stays healthy. He has great vision which I never expected and is more accurate than he had shown in the past.

We finally showed glimpses of the team we should be... took Idaho down 48-24. Carr was money... 371 yards passing and 5TDs. It makes me sick to think what would have been if we hadn't had the injuries we've had to start the year. Lost our center in the first game of the year, lost our 6'6" WR before training camp (first game back today, no catches), and lost our best defensive player 2 days before our first game. There's a good chance we'd be 3-1, and a decent one that we'd be 4-0... headed into Ole Miss coming out here, and most likely still a Top 5 Boise team the week after. Oh well, woulda shoulda coulda. I'm hoping that this team only drops one more game the rest of the year; and with our schedule it's a possibility. The only games after that which could give us problems are Nevada, Hawaii, and San Diego State... everyone else are WAC bottom feeders (and the near SEC killers LaTech).

and it's time for the Dolphins to do what they should have done during the offseason... fire Sparano.

It makes me sick, but I'm hoping that we bomb the rest of the seasons and end up with Andrew Luck, Landry Jones, or Matt Barkley.

Colts are winless, Bills and Lions are undefeated...

That was a near miss for the Steelers, Ben was mauled. Good work by Indy's defense. Really concerned for this Houston game.

I loved the hit that Freeney put on Roethlisberger from the blind side... beat his man without even being touched, and then flat out destroyed the hapless (and helpless) Roethlisberger, forcing the fumble.

So, HTC (if you're reading this)... Fresno State has opened up as a 5 point favorite against your Rebels after our best showing of the year... a 48-24 drubbing of Idaho. One might say that beating Idaho isn't much of an accomplishment, but seeing as how Ole Miss' lone victory this year was against Southern Illinois, we've got you beat. ;)

Carr is just something else... having this group of receivers doesn't hurt any either.

The newest rumor going around is that BYU has a Big-12 invite in hand and is going over the details right now. They will also have to figure out how that will play out with their existing ESPN contract that they signed after opting to go independent starting this season. The other part of that rumor is that both Louisville and Cincinnati have been extended invitations as well.

In about five hours, it'll be time for the Rebels to get mauled by some hungry and vengeful Bulldogs.

:woohoo:
