We have a cat named Tebow. A Gators fan rescued and named him and we couldn't think of another name when we adopted him...

I like your style but these words you speak will be proven false on October 17th.
I actually worry more about playing Okie State in Stillwater on Halloween.
I've never been a big LSU fan. There are no Tigers in Louisiana.
Shouldn't it be the LSU Nutria or something?
I think the best thing about LSU is the fact that they have started taking talent from the same pool Texas A&M has drawn from in the past.
With OU, Texas, LSU and even Texas Tech in the mix what talented kid in his right mind would go to Texas A&M? They're gonna suck for long time and that gives me a happy feeling all over.
Colt's a fine QB and as you well know. 10 times the talent of an unproven Jordan Jefferson.
I look forward to Sept 5th and to fucking with you as the season progresses.

Brush up on your history. 'Tigers' seemed a logical choice since most collegiate teams in that year bore the names of ferocious animals, but the underlying reason why LSU chose 'Tigers' dates back to the Civil War.

According to Arthur W. Bergeron, Jr., PhD. and the "Guide to Louisiana Confederate Military Units, 1861-1865" (LSU Press, 1989), the name Louisiana Tigers evolved from a volunteer company nicknamed the Tiger Rifles, which was organized in New Orleans. This company became a part of a battalion commanded by Major Chatham Roberdeau Wheat and was the only company of that battalion to wear the colorful Zouave uniform. In time, Wheat's entire battalion was called the Tigers.

That nickname in time was applied to all of the Louisiana troops of Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia. The tiger symbol came from the famous Washington Artillery of New Orleans. A militia unit that traces its history back to the 1830s, the Washington Artillery had a logo that featured a snarling tiger's head. These two units first gained fame at the Battle of First Manassas on July 21, 1861. Major David French Boyd, first president of LSU after the war, had fought with the Louisiana troops in Virginia and knew the reputation of both the Tiger Rifles and Washington Artillery.

Thus when LSU football teams entered the gridiron battlefields in their fourth year of intercollegiate competition, they tagged themselves as the 'Tigers'.

It was the 1955 LSU 'fourth-quarter ball club' that helped the moniker 'Tigers' grow into the nickname, 'Fighting Tigers'.

And I agree with you on the Aggies although it's going to be fun to watch Christine Michael for the next couple of years. I look forward to our battle as well, but I have to stick with an OU upset in Dallas. I'm not an OU fan by any means but I think, pound for pound, they are better than Texas. Maybe only 3 points better, but better.

Ugh! Freakin' Ole Miss fan. One okay year in 40 and they come out of the woodwork. With all due respect, I'm sure you are super hot like most Rebel babes, but your athletic program is a joke compared to the mighty LSU Tigers. We have history and national championships. You have Archie Who?

And while I'm on an SEC tear, Auburn, stop calling yourselves the Tigers! There is only one SEC school with the mascot of the tiger and that would be LSU. War Eagle, Plainsmen, whatever. Pick one of those and stick with it! War Eagle is a great name and has history behind it!

Love ya JanieDough!

Bama sucks, Florida sucks, Georgia sucks, etc, etc.

Oh and Burntblood.....should have taken care of business in Lubbock last year but your QB is a choke. Florida and USC will play for the NC this year because you won't get out of Dallas with a win.

Auburn Tigers!
LSU Bengal Tigers!

Auburn has always been the tigers. War Eagle is our battle cry and a greeting among other Auburn Tigers. we are not war eagle(s)

An old saying is coming to mind, you don't have to be a jerk to be an LSU fan, but it sure helps :p :jk

Whats it take to play football for LSU/OleMiss/Alabama/GA/FL?

A criminal record.

Why can't the LSU football team get in the huddle on the field?

Associating with known felons is a parole violation.

:p

Big scare at Bama practice this week. White powder was found near the athletic facilities, and they had to evacuate all buildings. After Federal authorities investigated, they gave the all clear to return. Turns out it was the goal line, and they said it was unlikely that the Alabama offense wouold see it again this year!

Those are the kinds of jokes people make when they find themselves intimidated and just want to feel better about it.
