Look -- this is no time to throw in the towel. When voters have all the facts, Democrats win. Our ideas are a whole lot better than what the other side is pitching. But we simply can’t get the word out without your help.

You aren't too far from being correct......however, Saddam was always evil and the first Gulf war was over Kuwait.
Saddam wanted it, took it by force and the US stepped in and re-established Kuwait while leaving Saddam in power in Iraq. The Oil in Iraq was not an issue until GW Bush wanted control.
GW Bush did use the concept of 'War on Terror' to invade Iraq.
Saddam was evil correct..but at one time he did good by his people.
As far as WMD none were found....however the cockiness of Saddam is what led to the invasion...He constantly told the US and the UN to essentially fuck off and hampered inspections...He also began abusing his own citizens long before the invasion.
You can call him your hero all you wish.
The war on terror started before the invasion of Iraq...Iraq was invaded later ..had nothing to do with the Taliban and AQ that Pk and AFG harbors.
None the less it was bad timing..as it appears as if the 2 wars are lumped together

If I remember right he was ok the first 2 or 3 years{when president}..then started going nuts.
Before he become the official dictator and was second in command..is where he did the most good...I guess the power swelled up his head though after becoming dictator.
He hated the kurds.
What is odd about the entire mess is Iraq had a decent education program..better womens rights that other Islamic nations better health care....A touch of the west in Iraq LOL.
Some of the traditional Muslims accused him of westernizing Iraq of which he hated.
