Boomer, I think they're used to peoiple just rolling over on this one, give them a contact nr, and that's all they need, in case of an emergency - if it's not covered in a contract, stick to your guns.

Glad you had a good time. My previous employers also tried that one on me, even got stroppy when I wouldn't give them any detail (we had a full complement of staff), until I told them to contact my lawyer (my dad, they knew this, but didn't realise my dad cannot possibly be my lawyer, conflict of interest) if they needed to get a hold of me, by all means, as he would then contact me gladly & immediately for them.
They never asked me all that again, and it caused me no further problems in the workplace either. They knew they had no right to ask that as it wasn't covered by contract either
