Hi Boomer,

I don't know if it sounds like "harassment" per se, but I wonder why they care to see your reservations...

I've never heard of such a thing.

thx

Yeah, my mind is boggled. If she wants to make out with me, all she has to do is ask. Dont gotta screw with my off time....

did they ever give a reason as to why they wanted that info , some jobs do require kind of info but after 5 years you'd have known that.;)

When I asked her, she asked me why I'm being an ass. She told me, and I quote;"I never give a Monday off."

Just tell them that some company in Vegas is trying to wine and dine you...something about a 6 figure position plus benefits and a stock buy-in option...but that's just between you and her...see how fast that spreads through the office!

Hi Boomer - how'd it go with yr weekend away?

Hope you didn't tell them where you got yr reservation?

Absolutely none of their business!

Hope you had fun. :)

I want to know if I should stick to my guns and stand up for my rights as an employee. Just because I can get them off my back, doesn't mean I should have to. Ya know?

Boomer, I think they're used to peoiple just rolling over on this one, give them a contact nr, and that's all they need, in case of an emergency - if it's not covered in a contract, stick to your guns.

I had a great time. I gave no info and for some weird reason they gave me the time I needed! But it sure is good to be home.

Glad you had a good time. My previous employers also tried that one on me, even got stroppy when I wouldn't give them any detail (we had a full complement of staff), until I told them to contact my lawyer (my dad, they knew this, but didn't realise my dad cannot possibly be my lawyer, conflict of interest) if they needed to get a hold of me, by all means, as he would then contact me gladly & immediately for them.
They never asked me all that again, and it caused me no further problems in the workplace either. They knew they had no right to ask that as it wasn't covered by contract either ;)

Sheesh, some bosses... ;)
