About a month ago I noticed our service truck was really in bad shape. I went shopping to buy a new truck body but got intrigued by an offer to buy a brand new 09 truck. After adding it up I took the plunge and decided on the new truck. It has $8k in rebates :eek

Finally got it yesterday






As we were cleaning off the old truck for trade in I had the guys remove the plywood that was on the bed of the truck. I knew the bed was rotten. I had no friggin clue it was this bad eek24::24::24:

I showed hubby the picture of the rotted truck bed. He said that the wood held the moisture in and contributed to the rot. He said a rubber mat or the bottom of a bedliner will do wonders if you intend to carry wood and leave it for any length of time.

The truck was rotting when we put the plywood down. I know the plywood sped it up from there.

I am going to put in one of the roll on rubber bed lines.

We put down the plywood too as it keeps things from sliding around.

This will be my last truck

I will be dead or retired 10 years from now

Those guys at the dealer probably died laughing when they removed the plywood :24::24:
