Um... where the hell did that response come from? I didn't label all teens as ignorant to the consequences, unless 99.99999% is now the new 100%.

Hell you answered a question I didn't even ask, completely ignoring the one I did.

teen pregnancy rates go up and down, up and down each year, so I don't think they have any real bearing on whether handing out condoms or abstinence programs work or not. Handing out condoms is simply a preventive measure that is better off being there than not.

it wasn't until I EDUCATED myself that I knew about what I wanted. You can't stop it, its human to want to reproduce

This is an example of what I was talking about in my first few posts. People, in so many words, unconsciously believing their sex drive is stronger than their mental capabilities.

This isn't directed at or to you Silious, just using your words to give an example that many will probably not understand.

Well, one of our few causes as a species IS to reproduce. But, I'm not saying that our sex drives overrule out brains.

that's part of the education. ;)

But it's dangerous because without the CORRECT education, handing out condoms is tantamount in the eyes of a teenager to tacit approval of sex overall, and that's bad. :cool
Meh, I think thats pretty situational. education is the best route I agree.

Yes grace it's all good I know what you mean. I was just brought up in a very conservative society in Orange County, and everything about sex was taught to me at school, and by looking at porn... It took awhile to learn that sex isn't about slammin' a girl down on the bed and well you get the point.... I had to learn the hard way, it's unfortunate....

I just wish my parents would have completely educated me on how to control my sex drive, especially being an adolescent boy where hormones control every thought process lol
