I knit and crochet but I'm not particularly talented with either. I get impatient and give up. But it is fun and I do like when I can wear something and say I made it myself.

Crocheting really hurts my wrist and fingers after a little while. I have no idea why because my wrist doesn't hurt when I knit or when I sew and I move my wrist for that :s

Today I got a cross stitch magazine because it has a neat Wizard of Oz cross stitch. I think it would look lovely in Immy's room.

Maybe I'm holding the crochet hook wrong, I never really thought of that though it makes a lot of sense. I followed the diagram in a teach-yourself book but perhaps it's not right for me.

I had a cat called Sylvester when I was a kid, he died when I was 16. He was so soppy and just loved sitting on someone's lap and having his fur brushed. I've never met a cat who purred as much as he did.

One of our barn cats is a purr-ball. All I have to do is look at him and he starts purring. :) One of our other barn cats purrs so softly that you hardly even know she's purring.

I want a cat too. :( A black one...named Miss Cleo.

My cat (that lives with my mum) is like this, I go over most Saturdays and she runs up the drive to greet me, purring her little tail off so that I'll give her some strokes :) I miss her lots, I wish I could take her to live with me but aside from not being allowed animals in our house, she's easily stressed and moving house would freak her out :(

Dogs are too needy for me. I prefer a cat's independence.

Yes I agree. I've had cats, dogs and rabbits and cats are by far the best. Dogs are far too needy and my rabbit pissed all over me, so I don't like either much.

HK, I wish we could have pets in our flat. Even if it was just a small furry hampster or something.

Yeah :( to be honest we could probably get away with something non-obvious because we only get inspections every 6 months and there are tons of cats around the neighbourhood that have even walked into the house before. But we couldn't install a cat flap so it'd have to go out all day, which is no good in the winter, or stay indoors, which isn't that great either.

I'm allergic to cats, not to dogs. Cats are needy, they sit on your knee and shove their ass in your face and walk all over you. Eugh. Dogs are better company because they rely on you for things plus my puppy does cool tricks.

I taught one of my cats to open the doors inside the house. She'd run at it then jump on the handle and it would open - that way when she wanted out of the bedroom, she could let herself out without me getting up. I got the idea after watching a show about showbiz pets and how cats can be taught to do tricks in the same way as dogs.

My dog would try to sit on me. I don't care about a small cat sitting on me but a big Springer Spaniel sitting on me and licking my face is another story.
