A Couple Of Road Trip Pictures

I took a long road trip this morning. Was having a cabin fever moment.

I came across an enormous field of Sunflowers. I just had to take a picture and share. Here are two pictures of the Sunflowers. As far as the eyes could see.......





Then there was a farm with all of these goats. I love barns and the goats just enhanced it.

I'm a suburban girl transplanted to the country...... I don't ever want to go back to the suburbs......

...... all the quiet.... the wildlife.... the space..... the stars..... the fresh air..... the dark dark nights.....

I step outside my front door and I've got it all! However..... I still need road trips! I love to drive and see new things. I think I've got 'tourist syndrome'......

Oh..... I did go to a cute little country church that we passed along the way that was having an indoor sale to raise funds to feed the hungry..... Not sure what my $3.25 will buy..... but I bought 2 DVD's and a book.

I've got lots of rural and country pictures that I've taken over the years. Some I can remember exactly where they were taken and others I can just guess at now.

Pictures can't grasp the total feeling one has when looking at the real thing.... but it's what it is I suppose.

I know! Here I was driving along and took a turn onto this back highway and there they were! I was definitely surprised and impressed! I am growing a few sunflowers in our garden at home. They haven't bloomed yet, but when they do I'll post a picture or two. And speaking of looking back at me.... I drove several miles further and took another turn and more fields of sunflowers! But they were looking sideways. I'm thinking they must follow the sun when at attention. I have no idea if I was headed East, West, North or South.... I was just driving with nowhere to go at the time.

Thankx, Margene! I can't believe how tall those things grow! Those fields were like rows of soldiers..... or some of the holiday crowds at the mall I've been a part of! lol
