I was just about to add a comment to DannyK but you echoed my sentiments Freeby.

Wasn't a cut and dry situation as he was making it out to be.

No, that was probably the last straw for that person - people only ever get to that stage when someone adds to their misery that others' have caused them to begin with - they don't just do it on a whim. To them it is real whatever has gone on and probably is real. There is very much such thing as Internet bullying. There have been many programmes about this in our country - it is not acceptable at any level.

People are made (as I have already explained and so have others' here), to be depressed by other people and bad situations - they don't make themselves or choose to be depressed. It could happen to anyone, even you at some stage whether now or in the future......

People are bullied every day and don't kill themselves. Sure it sucks that it happens but it still does. the girl wasn't even old enough to have a myspace so her parents are more to blame than anyone else.

The age is in the title - 14yrs of age.

That is still besides the point as has already been discussed in many posts on this thread anyway.

Also, this is where you are not in the know then, if you think bullying doesn't cause suicide. Let me tell you, that bullying does exactly that! People who bully though always run from the truth and never face up to what they have caused - I know because I have worked in this field.

Another thing that causes ppl to be suicidal, is that of finances.

Also, certainly over here anyway, there is a much higher rate of male suicides than female suicides.

I'm not saying it doesn't, I'm saying that there are plenty of people who know how to solve their problems. Just riddle me this, why is Myspace responsible?

I have never said 'myspace' is responsible - it doesn't matter where the bullying takes place, those that do it are responsible and adults should know far better too!

It is not as cut and dry as saying "some ppl know how to solve their problems......"

It is all about circumstances, ppl around or not, fears of making things worse for those suffering, how much and how long it has gone on for beforehand and so on and so on.

Different people have different tolerances and react differently. Perhaps the mind games and harassment by the perpetrator/scam artists had the effect of driving the nail in the coffin.

The perpetrators are the ones in my mind are to be blamed and held responsible and I believe there is a very good case for this.

I don't think we've actually been fighting about anything... lol

I personally think Sniper is on point here! My "cousin" is on myspace and shes only 13; BUT her father also has a profile on there to promote his tattoo business.

Also where did this news article come from? The author needs to learn how to spell and use correct tenses.
