That is me but I am mellowing a bit

I got t-boned several years ago that was due to me trying to beat a red light. I think I did. But some clown coming out of a parking lot decided he did not want to slow down.

by the time i hit the brakes it was not a lot of speed but it did make me think.

my problem is trying to catch up to hot babes in the next lane :D

I'm getting used to two things with this vehicle...

1. Anti-lock brakes
2. Front wheel drive

I was told that anti-lock have to be handled a particular way and never understood it until last winter when I hit a sheet of black ice. I'm not one to panic.... usually and so far.... but I do know how to pump the brakes and stir into the spin.... this particular day I saw a car go into the ditch from my lane in front of oncoming traffic and it ended up facing me on the other side of the road.... I was probably 30 car lengths back... I don't tailgate in the winter... I was slowing down when I hit the black ice.... same patch that took that guy over and out.... I hit the brake and held the wheel firmly... the anti-lock brakes did their thing... I could feel the pumping thing under my brake foot.... I held my foot firm and I'll be damned.... the car slowed... I didn't spin.... I made it past the ice and the ditched car.

I sighed in relief and was somewhat shaky from this first experience with anti-lock... but now I know what to expect.

What is weird is that I was on dry pavement months later and someone pulled out to cross the highway.... I hit the brakes and there it was again. Personally.... I didn't think it stopped me nearly as soon as I would have liked it to... but I didn't let off the brakes.... and I didn't hit the jerk. My horn works damn good too!

Front wheel drive is okay. Donuts in the snow are a bit different.

Do you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle?

Mileage is an issue these days.

Does it have a snow plow?
The Durango has 125k miles on it

Gets 15 city at best and 19 on highway

The Rogue which is a bit smaller SUV gets..........

22 city
27 highway

That amounts to a huge savings in gas as I put about 20k miles on a vehicle per year

well if it is not too far along in the pregnancy then go get laid :24:
Is there a too far along in pregnancy to have sex? My doctor didn't think so. She said if the mood strikes, strike back.... just go a bit easier. Some will talk about possible infections or some such garble, but I never had issues.

I just had to convince daddy that it was really okay and well..... anyway.... :D

Note to notebook: Melissa should check with her own doctor if she has concerns. All women and their pregnancies vary.
