OMG it's the best cake evAr, seriously. (if you liek pineapples and cherries that is).

You pour yellow cake or butter cake mix over a pineapple ring w/a cherry placed in the middle and bake it .. then when you flip it out of the pan the pineapple rings are baked into the top ... then you pour the pineapple juice all over the top .. OMG it's fantabulous! So moist and good. *mouth is watering*

Here is the oh-so complicated recipe :snicker:

Melt 1 stick butter in 9x13 cake pan. Sprinkle 3/4 cup brown sugar in butter.

Place sliced pineapples over this mixture. Place maraschino cherry in the center of each slice.

Mix a box of yellow cake mix as directed (or make your own yellow or butter cake mix) and pour over the above ingredients. Cook until done; let cool a little and turn upside down onto cookie sheet or serving dish.

Pour left over pineapple juice over top of cake.

Enjoy.

... when I get home I'll post a pic of me as I look right now lol .. you'll see the difference .. and it isn't good LMAO.

Whatever the box says .. or if you make your own .. whatever the recipe says... here is one I use

3 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 tsp. each baking soda and salt
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. butter at room temperature
1 c. milk at room temperature
3 lg. eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla

Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl; blend well with wooden spoon. Add butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla. Stir with wooden spoon until entire mixture is moist.

Beat with electric mixer 4 minutes or until very well blended.

Pour into 2 lightly greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven 20-25 minutes until cake begins to pull away from sides of pan and pick inserted near center comes out clean.

Be careful not to overbake it or it will be tough and dry.
