I'm a season ticket holder for the Penguins...so I saw them beat the Leafs last night (sorry Syn!). I'm so excited for this season! I wanted to go to Stockholm to see the opener (Pens v Sens) but it's a little rich for my blood...that and I'm going to be in England the week after. But I digress...and often.

I love that kid...It's amazing to me that at his young age he is as poised as he is, he speaks as maturely as he does, and the talent that he has and yet doesn't let it go to his head. He really is a hell of a guy. Pittsburgh as a whole is just so proud of him...he and his mentor (Mr. Lemieux) have really saved hockey in Pittsburgh, among other things.

Cause Crosby is a huge snob and the talent he has does go to his head ( I hate seeing him in interviews.. its like he thinks he is to good for them). He is a talented hockey player but I just dont like his overall style, he is also a dirty hockey player.:thumbdown

Watch him in an interview and he's completely all about his team...his teammates are the reason he's the captain...and I'm not following on the dirty comment...give me a for instance.

Eh, still one of the best games out there. If Gary Bettman wasn't commissioner then things would look so much better... anywho

I love how Eric Cole looks in my team, also Visnovsky... they're fitting in very well and it looks like Souray found his very fiesty side. I'm predicting a breakout year for Nilsson and the Kid line looks great still, especially their passing, vastly improved. Gilbert usually finds very nice open lanes and our Defenseman on the point is very dangerous

Oh and on the Calgary side... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Boyd is looking very good in the preseason, Cammalleri is doing decent and Bertuzzi isn't slumping yet. Great pick up with Glencross since he adds a great new element in the bottom lines. Iggy is his usual self and Kipper needs to play a bit more better. Phaneuf... eh, caveman.

I agree with you on the Bettman thing...however, Ovechkin (while bloody talented) is a hell of a lot more of a primadonna than Crosby.

He's not as much of a team player...granted, he doesn't have the talent around him that Crosby does, but he's more of a showboater...and much less about the team.

Honestly, this is just going to come down to who like who and who doesn't. I actually dig Ovechkin and think he's a hell of a player...but yeah, he's much more of a primadonna.

There is no image to uphold...that's my point...Sid is very modest especially off ice and more concerned about the team and the game than showing off for the media. If anything, he's the opposite of worrying about his image.

I saw the Craps play the Pens in DC and Ovechkin actually sorta checked one of his own players out of the play so he could take the puck...come on is right! I'm not knocking the guy's talent...he's ace! But, he's a bit of a primadonna.

Yeah, he always mentions being a good boy scout in the league, is in every magazine, every sports channel, commercials, clothing line, etc. :surrender I'm just tired of it and the less I buy into the crap he spouts out of his mouth


You and I have different definitions of primadonna... oh well
