WTF is wrong with society?

I'm not talking about a piece of paper, which was devised predominantly by Christians. I'm talking about culture and people. Our values, and certainly those emphasized in the Constitution will reflect those Christian beliefs. There is Christian ideology all over that text, and laid throughout the groundwork of our entire governing system. How could you claim that we are a secular nation? :dunno There's a reason "In God We Trust" is stamped on money.
The majority of all the hard work and design of the country was up to Deists and unitarians were were men of the enlightenment. HUGE difference.

What exactly is unique about "Christian beliefs"? What qualifies a belief as Christian? Can you point some of the beliefs in the constitution out for me that are exclusively Christian in nature?

And please everyone.....Christ wasn't even born in the same month, let alone the 25th, as what is now known as "Christmas". Its a widely known fact that the Romans just placed christ's birth on the 25th to stop pagan celebrations like saturnalias.

It can be Christmas without it being about Christ. It was about Santa for me before I knew who Christ was. It'll be Christmas for me from then until I die. I don't celebrate Christ on the 25th I celebrate the togetherness & the history of giving and the history of St. Nicholas and where these traditions came from. I'm not going to stop singing Come Oh Ye Faithful, We Three Kings or any other religious songs just because I don't celebrate the Christian way either.

If Christmas really is about celebrating christianity, then I must have missed the memo.

To me it's about rabid consumerism and commercials. At least that's what TV has done with it. I personally think the "spirit of christmas" is what's important.

If you want to celebrate something that didn't even happen on that day or month, go ahead.

But it did happen. And that's the story I'm stickin wit.

Rep delivered.

The Bible is evidence of much. What hole do you have your head to think it isn't? Scholars that are millions times smarter than you use the Bible to correlate facts with other findings for factual purposes to understand much about what happened in history as they do with other historical writings.

You truly are lost. And know that I am not saying that you should convert to be a Christian, but what I am saying is that you are so anti Christian you fail to see things that are actually factual and add to our great history.

Your attitude is as racism.

I've read the Bible and have failed to find any evidence in it that points to Dec 25 as Jesus birthday. I have found evidence in it that would suggest it isn't though. The farmers were out in the fields at night mentioned when Jesus was born would suggest it wasn't in December because it is cold in Israel around that time and farmers would have their flocks in the barns then. If you have any evidence that Jesus was born on 25 Dec, I'm all ears though.:)

Doesn't point to an exact date. The date was determined to commemorate the event.

Oh, I'm not arguing that Christmas is supposedly about celebrating Jesus birthday. As I've mentioned before, the date was determined so that it was the same day as pagans celebrated something else and was chosen as this when the Christians were trying to convert them and felt putting it on this date would be an easier way of doing so. Personally I don't think too many people see the focus of Christmas as being Jesus birthday these days anyway. From what I've seen it seem to be mainly a commercial festival to give trade a boost these days or to others a chance to get together with family and have something to look forward to in the middle of winter. It really dosen't bother me whatever significance people attach to it though. There's as much chance of Jesus being born at Christmas as there is of a fat man delivering presents down the chimney at Christmas. It just still amazes me in this day and age the amount of people who don't actually know that Jesus wasn't born at Christmas!
