Grace, I have a question for you:

If you really think god blesses America, does he bless it more than other countries?
I do believe he blesses America. I have no idea if he blesses America more than other countries though. I doubt it though. We are all His children. I'll ask Him when I leave this place. And as I will probably die before you, I'll find a way to get back to you with that answer, k? ;):D

In the United States, Independence Day (commonly known as the “Fourth of July,” “July Fourth", or simply the “Fourth”) is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from Great Britain.
Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, picnics (aka food), baseball games, Americana related items, and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Fireworks have been associated with the Fourth of July since 1777.

We had a wonderful 4th. We went over to friends house for a pool party and BBQ. Good food, good company, great time. Later, we all convoyed over to a park and set up camp to kick back and watch the fireworks. We played football, took pictures, and played with those glow in the dark necklaces, mouthpeices, and bracelets. Then we fought traffic home ... LOL!

I know. It sucks, but the day was worth it. I couldn't wait to get home, get showered and hit the sack. I was so exhausted from all the fun.

How did yours go? What did you do?

I went to my aunts house. Rode a horse and let my kid ride one for his first time ever.

Looked at the swimming pool and decided I didn't want to get in.

Ate some food not listed on my diet (naughty), but not much .. I was proud of myself for that lol.

Bought $60 something bucks worth of fireworks, woulda been more but any fireworks ona stick (aka bottle rockets of any size/variety) are banned due to the drought .. so why even bother buying them :mad face:.

Watched/listened to the big firework show in Bham from my aunts house (yea, you could see them from a long way away (she lives 30 min from Bham) they were that loud/big), then set off all of our fireworks.
Tried to take pics of some, but me leaving my tripod at home didn't do much good for pic taking, only a few are halfway decent. :(

Came home and watched an episode of Monk I hadn't seen yet.

Talked to Mikey for an hour, and went to bed at 12:30ish.

I'm tired as crap today too lol.

Very cool about about your kid riding a horse for the first time? How'd they like it?

One thing is for sure, holidays wear you out.

I need strength and focus for a 10 page research paper I am suppose to be doing right now, instead of posting on here.

I'm having such a difficult time just getting started. procrastination - ugh!
