Some of you know I'm in the process of buying my first home. Got preapproved, got approved, then we got the mortgage set, paperwork is all that is left to do, aside from the inspections/repairs, blah blah.

Today I wandered into the Home Depot to get a 12x24 board to make a shelf for a new customers battery backup I just installed, and as I was wandering around the store I started to take notice of all the things I could do.

fake italian style deco wall pieces, new gutters, new flooring, shelving units, lamp fixtures, paint, door and wall trim... the list goes on and on.

Now that I'm taking notice of this stuff I'm scared of how much money I'm gonna have to spend to do what I want. lol

But at least it'll be done my way and done right, right?

:)

I love hardware stores! :D

Owning your own home and redecorating/renovating can be a little scary and daunting at first, but in the long run it is well worth the effort, time and money it takes to see your vision come to fruition. I bought my home a little over two years ago and I've enjoyed every minute of the redocaroating/renovatiing process...sure it's been a little hairy at times and mistakes have cost me extra, but I can take pride in what I've accomplished.

The last thing I just did (two weeks ago) was to lay floating wood floors...that was an...err...interesting experience...

I'd like to do laminate flooring, but because this house was built in 1927, it has real... real hardwood flooring. First thing I'm doing is ripping up all the carpeting. yay!

Yeah. I remember doing the same thing when I bought my house.. thinking of all the things I could and would do to it.. Still think about them sometimes.. and if I ever think of how to come up with the money to do it......

haha your Cavalier? Is that 'z24' the same one in your pics in your thread? That isn't how an 01 Z24 looks on the front end. Your 01 Crapalier has nothing on my Civic. :)

I'm getting a 01 Z24 fully loaded. About the same year as these:

What you say about cavaliers? They're slick looking. Girls love em too.

haha you don't have anything but a 108 hp Crapalier now. Talk to me after you get it. I almost bought a 91-93 Z24 myself. But it was too far away.

I've got a few things to do to my car, but other than that I really don't care about modding it anymore. I care more, now anyway, about modding the house. lol
