Tasha, I came from the south...well more like the suburbs of the south, and never lived in a big city...now I don't live in a HUGE city, but I am literally 10 mins or less from downtown Portland and it is awesome. I love being able to walk! Unfortunately rents are super high right in the middle of the city for the amount of space we'd need, but if we were kid free we would totally be in the heart of it all. Maybe even carless too.
