If you always say you'll never have it, you probably won't. Being negative about things you would like will cause you to avoid them later in life. So I'd prefer not to think about "what I won't have", but instead "what I could have". It's all possible (within reason of course, no hyperspace ships etc.

At my age, it's not being negative (or right/wrong), it's being realistic

I think there's a lot more to it than that. Proper nutrition, a good education, opportunities and support help. Ya gotta have enough to eat so your brain can work properly too. I'll never complete my college education because I can't afford it and I don't have connections.
