They are reporting that the shooter was 24 years old, wore a bulletproof vest and was armed with 4 weapons.

WTH is wrong with people? I am so sad. I truly do not understand how someone thinks like that.

Don't know how true it is, but I was just told by a local that the shooter was a war veteran with PTSD. Fucking kids, dude??? REALLY??? Yanno, it's bad enough that you go nuts and kill adults, but innocent fucking children!?!?!?

Children are always the worse to attack but simply put make the best targets because they are so innocent.. This is why we need to protect them with their best interest as much as possible..

Adults learn to be careful of all people all the time..

Children are for the most part trusting of people, especially those they have seen and believe they should not have to run away from..

Parents, teachers, janitors, principals and anyone that can enter a school without question have access to those poor kids..

Our school is very strict and you cannot go in without signing in most days but at this time of the year rules get relaxed due to the high volume of parents attending parent teacher meetings, school Christmas plays and other functions.

Why it was only yesterday I was mentioning to someone how we teach our kids to stay away from strangers and than tell them its ok to talk to "people they don't know for help in school" when they need it.. These mixed messages sure make it hard for kids to try to sort out who is right and who is wrong when they are at elementary school..

I feel so sad for these kids and families that will now have a shattered lives. Christmas is secondary when you consider your child will never come home again..

Ryan Lanza- 24 years old, the shooters name.
One parent was killed at home. Other parent, a staff member of the school, killed on scene.

Our conversation was one of the first things that sprang to mind today. Crazy!!!

what would ever make a person so angry to kill children is beyond me

Sorry but I can't even imagine getting angry enough to want to harm anyone.. I could never kill someone.

I will defend myself but I truly believe there is always a way to find solutions.. Killing is just a fast way out..

There was confusion on the shooter. He is actually 20 years old and is the brother of the 24 year old. The older brother is being questioned.

sounds like a lot of confusion as to the shooter's identity. I cannot imagine the hurt the parents & teachers are feeling.
