We're unique, like it or not. I don't know why people run from that fact and try to be more like Europeans, but there you are.

I'm not sure which is more sad. The fact that people that don't know guns would look at this advertisment and perhaps be shocked that guns like this are bought over the internet on a regular basis (all completely legal) or the fact that you have bone heads like Larry that do something horrendous like this to an SKS.

Trying to be more like Europeans who don't have a gun problem, that would be bad? That is the question- what makes us unique, why do we have this problem? Same thing for our obesity issue.

Yes, because it's myopic. Throwing the liberty baby out with the guns bathwater, so to speak.

Not so much anymore, but we used to be a bastion of liberty, where a person could take a risk and succeed or fail on his own merits. We've sacrificed the chance to succeed to avoid risk because of our fear of failure ... which of course guarantees failure, it's just that we'll all fail together now.
