If you had the choice to go to a week long street festival with live music pretty much all day and all night or to a cabin on the beach which would you choose?

when dealing with people some is always a pain in the neck sorta speak
but there is more peacefulness seclusion

It's such a toss up. Our original plan was to spend a night at the cabin and then go to the festival but the more I research the area the cabin is located, I think I might want to stay on that side of the island.

Both areas are beautiful.

I'm leaning towards the cabin but hate the thought of missing a party, lol.

Is it possible for you to just drive over to the festival for a day?


I'd pick the beach cabin. The street festival would be fun for a day, and then it'd start to lose it's novelty. I like holidays for relaxing.

It's a min. 6 hour drive apparently...I guess we could do both, but I'd rather pick one or the other.

You could go the festival on the first day, stay one night there and then leave in the afternoon of the second day, like the reverse of what you were originally planning.

I'm with above do both, if you can do the festival and stay there at least one nite, if you can afford it. That way you get the both of best worlds....

We're taking a ferry across...it's a 4 hour drive to the cabin and then another 6 to where the festival is, so the cabin is first...unless we took the other ferry, which is 18 hours on a boat, my husband isn't too keen on that, lol.

As much as I'd love to do both, I think I'd rather relax and tour around the little towns near the cabin and see Gros Morne National Park and do some of the Viking Trail (2 huge attractions)....if we drive 3 hours to the northern tip of the province we could actually do a boat tour that goes out around ice bergs, which would be quite something to see.

But I still hate missing a party...haha.
