Totally cabin. Live music is fun, but I agree with what others have said - my vacation is my relax time. Plus I love the beach, I could do it every day without a problem.

Oooooh both good choices. I would choose the cabin on the beach. There is plenty of live music in Nashville but beaches are harder to come by here. :D

It's the George St. Festival in St. John's....we have a place booked there, but we're getting to the cabin Thursday night, which is still a 4 hour drive from the ferry, so it'll be kinda late then we'd have to head to St. John's Friday to take in any of the festival. We'd end up staying there for at least 2 nights, which has us heading back to the west coast Monday. I guess it could be done, but I really want to see Gros Morne and travel around that area and see where the Vikings were, etc. Heading to St. John's would be fantastic, but it leaves no down time if we're going to see it all. I think we'll do the west coast this trip and maybe just fly to St. John's when there's a seat sale on sometime. Flippin' place is so huge!

Beach cabin every time. gotta be some other activities within reach if you get totally bored.

There's tons of exploring around the area.

Here's where I want to travel:

Here's the town where the cabin is located - easy spot to come and go from for day trips

This is the street where the festival is. It's closed off for 6 days with live bands every evening and into the wee hours, plus all the bars and pubs are wide open the entire time with live music and parties.

Dammit...tomorrow I was so convinced that the west coast was the way to go, now I'm looking at the festival again and can't believe I'm thinking of skipping it!
