I'd give it back. I believe in karma AND I've been in charge of a cash register before and I know how frustrating it is to have your drawer come up short.

Uhh...not that I've got a lot of bar experience, of course.

:ninja

Those days are in the past, though, LOL

I did that once and regretted it hugely. :24:

LMFAO...I hear ya. I think the most I've done on my own was $60 or so. I know that we've had nights where one person was paying the tab for everybody, though, and it was $200 or more. And I had 2 male friends decide they wanted to make me puke one night (they succeeded) and they both dropped $90 each. Ugh...that was NOT a good night.

I think that night I spent £60 or so, more than I care to spend, definitely. But I've spent £100 a night in certain fancy bars in London :willy_nilly:

Matters not whether I am at a bar or a store. If my change is incorrect I will say something to correct it.

Why would it make a difference that you're in a bar?

The principle is the same. Someone made a mistake, and you should do the right thing, and give it back to them.

If every single person, cashed in on, every single mistake we made, life would suck. I try to look at it from that perspective, and do what's right in this case.

Well first if he is making mistakes on the money going back to customers I would make damn sure I was adding up what i was buying to ensure i was paying things right..

But in all I agree that it doesn't matter where I am, I always give back the extra money that was handed to me by mistake just as I would fight to get back money I was shorted on..

You are defined by how you view and do things.. IJS

This.. and if I am using cash I usually don't even look at what they give back.. just shove it back in my pocket.
yep exactly. i never check. shove in pocket and go. besides- im at a bar. im drunk. why on earth would i be doing math :24:

but my point of my PP "it depends on the bar" was if its a crazy busy club bar. no. im not spending the rest of my night trying to shout at them and sort it out. sorry

if its a small hotel bar or the like and i can carry on a normal convo with the guy of course i would sort it out.
