He has every right to think he's too good to sit on the bench, he's had a better season than Stevie Me, certainly better than Lampard, better than Barry, better than Parker (I still can't believe he's in the England squad) and they take Henderson. JORDAN FUCKING HENDERSON! This is the guy who flopped in the team that finished 8th! And he's going to the Euros. Poor Carrick's on a beach somewhere when he should be playing for England. And England's centre midfield options? Gerrard, Henderson, Parker. Yeah, and Carrick still can't get in over those three. The FA are fucking retarded, I hope England go out at the group stage. Because it'd show the FA up and our players would be home earlier. Everyone wins.

Yeah, the same fans who took great delight in burning effigies of and issuing death threats to David Beckham in 98, and abusing Phil Neville in 2000, without looking at the wider issues. The squads as a whole being shit mostly. Easy way out being used. England fans are scum.

You beat a Championship on penalties in a cup final, well done. I'd rather finish second and qualify for the top European competition than win the COC.

Paul Scholes's reasons for not coming out international retirement are his own. If he wasn't saying yes to Sven in 2006, and Capello in 2010, he certainly wasn't to Hodgson in 2012. He will have another season with us, that's enough football for him at his age. He would have improved England's midfield, I think everyone can agree to that, but I don't think it's enough to win the Euros.
 
I entered the old sweepstake down the pub. You don't actually find out who you get until after the tournament, which I guess works in some way. The winner gets £320 (£160 which everyone put in, and the £160 which the landlady put in), not a bad little earner.

In all seriousness I've had £5 on 2 matches to go to penalties (3's), Gomez top scorer/Germany winners £5 on it (12's) and £5 on Germany to concede the least goals £5 (10's).

Good returns if they come off, but it's difficult to call.
