NHL Playoffs 2012

eventhough the Bruins are defending the Cup, you wouldn't know it on the two sports stations here in town....although the carrier of the Bruins games seem to touch on the playoffs a little more...still the talk is about the Red Sox/Celtics/NFL Draft/the Saints...oh yeah...there they are...the Revolution.(the local MLS team)...next to the Bruins...go figure...

Congrats to the Yotes for moving on.. Shows the Hawks were not on their game again for the series..

I think it speaks volumes to the talent of the goalies on the two teams.

Smith was unbelievable last night. There was nothing more the Blackhawks could've done in the first two and a half periods of the game aside from actually get the puck in the net. :p We were outplayed. Then we managed to take advantage of the frustration level that the hawks were at.

Crawford, on the other hand, let in two incredibly pitiful OT goals in a row to Boedker. The goalies were the deciding factor in the series.

And no. No one else can have Mike Smith. He's mine...er...I mean ours. ;)

If it came down to just talent on paper alone the Canucks should have been handed the Stanley Cup the last 5 year but that's not how it works..

retro you seem to like to add words to things I do not say.. Perhaps it just the nature of you wanting to pick an argument.. But I ain't biting. :p

I already congratulated the Coyotes on a great series and good for them. I hope you win the cup..

Playoff hockey is a totally different level of the game.. Referees do not call many of the usual penalties they would in the regular season. I don't like it because you work all season one way and at playoff it's played a totally different way. Even Over time is totally different since Bettman took over and the time between the break from regular game to OT and no Penalty shots in Playoffs. The season should be back to the same IMO.. That being said, as long as it's equal for both teams it should be fair..

What I was saying is the Blackhawks did not show up.. They are usually a team no one wants to meet in the playoffs for a reason.

That being said, many teams love to run up against the Canucks because they seem to show up year after year only to aim for a Golf Cup instead of the Stanley Cup..

Well, to argue one point with you, I DO think the hawks showed up last night. They dominated that game. The Coyotes would've been out in 4 with anyone else *cough* Bryz *cough* in net, but Smith saved their asses this series, most especially last night. They should've been up 4-0 on US by the end of the FIRST the way they played versus how horribly we played. lol

And I'm sure you love shouting "Louuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" all the time too. :p

When the rich folks of Vancouver decide our goalie makes a good enough save that they can stop giving him a hard time for a few seconds to cheer him, it's not too bad. And anyway, I really meant it! The ow ow owwwwww is awesome!!

Only game tonight is Panthers v Devils, personally and for no particular reason, I've been routing for Panthers.

I thought I felt a disturbance in the hockey force... then I realized that it was just the sound of 34 million Canadians coming to the realization that Lord Stanley's Cup will not be returning to Canada for anything other than player's days with the Cup and a return trip to the Hockey Hall of Fame. Oh, and with it realizing that there's a very good chance that the Cup could very well be headed for a southern US city instead. :D
