I was encouraged by some of those who knew about my hikes to post some pics here- so here goes :D

I am aiming to climb Mt Whitney: 14,000 ft elevation, 22 miles, 14-16 hours hike. (hopefully this year) Here's the top of Mt Whitney

I've started my training and so far here's some pics of the hikes, I've accomplished.

1. Ladder Canyon and Sheep's Hole Oasis: 2500 ft elevation (13 miles, 8 hours. crawled through 3 caves)
( some are from my hiking group's pics)

one of the cave's entrance where we had to climb and enter through one of the sheep's hole to go through the other side of the trail

through the ladder canyon (am the one on top- playing with my camera)

a hiking mate crawling out of one of the caves

2. through Sta Rosa Ecological Reserve- 1196 elevation 10 miles hike (4 hours) me on that black outfit with cap on

my hiking addicts group- i'm in the red sweatshirt (near center)

3. Mt Baldy: 10,000 ft elevation (accomplished- 9.45 miles out of 10.2 miles, 7 hours)

That's me with cap on climbing while my son waits :p

a view from 4 miles up on Mt Baldy

2 miles away from the peak

Me about 1.5 miles from summit

1 mile away from summit

my son

The type of terrain we had to climb

1 mile away from peak and snow is getting thicker

1/4 mile away...from peak( Unfortunately, we had to climb down without reaching the peak as weather changed abruptly- thick fog, gusty winds, snow on the tracks was 3 ft high. Too dangerous to continue. Will be back again when weather is a lot friendlier ;)

You've got some beautiful pictures there! I'm in no way the sort of person who's ever walked up anything worse than a steep hill, but these do give me the urge to go outside and get some fresh air :p

Thanks. I used to be like that especially after being on crutches for 6 months after an ankle injury. I trained myself from walking flat surfaces to higher inclines. I still have to catch my breath hiking esp Mt Baldy.

Yup, fresh air is great ;)

Wow..great pictures. You are an inspiration.

You're an outdoor lover too.....go for more of your hikes and camping, girl :D

Thanks.

I can't hide my love for nature and mixing it with photography. Photography gears/extra lenses tho' are heavy on a higher altitude hike. I used my iPhone on most shots.

not sure I could crawl through caves.

It was tough hence some members of the group backed out. It's a FUN experience tho'

Fantastic photos..and most great what you do i can never walk that much well done.

My gratitude ;)

The guy on the far left ^^ He's 76 y/o. He's very strong and can hike for hours.

The Indian lady on left side in green top- she's in her 60's. The lady in pink top, front, standing=> she's 52 y/o. The lady next to her who's seated (front, in white top) is her mother who's 73 y/o. Our hiking leader, Bill ( front- far right in blue shirt) is 76 y/o. All these 4 peeps @ their age, hike faster than i do- L0L
