I never even realized people called Soda something else until a few years ago.

Pop is a funny word. It sounds like something a little kid in the 50's would say. "Ma, pa could I go down the street and by some orange pop???"

I call it soda in general, however I never understand people who just say "can I have a diet?" when ordering a Diet Coke/Pepsi... I mean, there's other diet brands of soda?
