So true and the reason I only stick with the facts.
Fact is.
The cornerstone of Christianity is human sacrifice, thus showing it‘s immorality.
The wage of sin is death. What sin did Jesus do to earn his wage?

So you think that a policy of do as I say and not as I do is a good policy for a law maker do you?
Seems like you have ignored this question before. Hmm.

Nope, I'm just clearing up the confusion. The Commandment is for mankind not God.
The whole idea is that Man doesn't have the right to take human life based on his own justification.

Whose definition of immorality? Yours perhaps? Here is the problem: You wish you were God.
And you see no problem with a religion with a deity that would create beings and then pull a stunt like that upon its own "creation"?
My point is that all societies have had their laws. Murder in the name of your god was legal at one time - even after the alleged birth of the mythical "Christ".
Every historically documented society has had laws prohibiting all manner of crimes against other human beings, even the Pagans. The Pagans had laws and Paganism is as old as humankind - and Christianity has taken up many Pagan traditions like Christmas and Easter.
Ever heard of the crusades?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crusades
Maybe if those Christians had not gone into Muslim lands and slaughterd men, women and children, Islam (another mythological human created religion) might not be so radical and bent on revenge to this day.
There are no facts in the bible.

You fear your own answers. Pathetic.

By asking a question like that are you trying to distract from the fact you made an incorrect comparison?
What would be the problem with that "stunt"?
And all societies eventually fall.
Murder in the name of God was legal under secular law which is yet another flaw with man's law.
Or maybe it all goes back to the first murder. Maybe the idea that murder is wrong is a carry over of the mark God put on Cain after he killed Abel. Which was before any civilization existed.
The Crusades? You mean the man made war over land?
How is that relevant? Did God order it done? You must have some inside info.
Then I guess all those ancient relics that have been found are just figments of the imagination.
Nope. If you cannot see the problems with the superstition and man made deity you believe in, then you'll never see the logic. Tim was right - religion and facts are not compatible.
Oh silly me...What could possibly be wrong with being ready and willing to kill your own child in the name of the deity that created you?
And Jesus won't save your ass then either.
And it would still be had cooler secular heads not prevailed.
Complete fiction. Pretty sad you carry that kind of guilt around with you your entire life and pass it along to your children.
Hmmmm...could I be breaking through the religious fog here? A man made war, inspired by a man made religion in the name of a man made deity. You're absolutely right.
What ancient relics? None of the archeological findings of the era biblical events were alleged to have taken place proves any of the biblical fables are true. Lots of artifacts have been found in the middleeast - the problem is none of them prove or even corroborate any biblical character or deity. Where is Noah's Ark? The Arc of the covenant? Chariots in the Red Sea?
There is ZERO historical evidence of a man named Jesus. Check this link out:

Sorry doombug, but you are doomed to hearsay. The only thing you have is faith in a story that was passed down from ancient nomadic sheep and goat herders. You have zero verifiable facts or historical documents to rely upon.
The only thing I can ever let go is someone who says "I know there is no proof of god or anything of these stories, but I believe them anyway". Ok. You're choosing to believe something, and though I wouldn't choose something like that for myself, it is what it is. But when the words fact and bible are used together, it's just....all credibility is gone. It's clear in that case the person fancies themselves an intellectual, but of what? Loose stories, loose findings? An ancient Chicken Soup for the Mass Murderer's Soul turned into Chicken Soup for the Insecure Dissociative Personality Disorder's Soul? Jesus surely didn't speak English, if nothing else. It doesn't have to necessarily negate the idea of a creator but it surely muddies the credibility of this book.

Look at Pol Pot, one of the biggest mass murderers possibly of all time. Maybe if he had not been an atheist and believed the 10 commandments he wouldn't have butchered so many innocent people.
Maybe you and Pol Pot needed the ten commandments to tell you not to murder people but I was able to figure that one out on my own. I'd be happy to give you moral advice if you ever need it.
Well Johnfromokc you are the one that used the words facts and bible together. So the joke is on you. hahaha!
Besides the Romans are mentioned in the Bible so you are saying they were mythical. Again, I guess all those artifacts from the Roman Empire are just figments of the imagination.

I doubt you figured that out on your own unless you were raised by wolves completely isolated from any human society. But just in case you were raised by wolves kudos on learning to walk upright on your own as well....assuming you walk upright that is.

One would first have to actually believe the work of fiction known as the bible is true to make a statement like this.
How do you know I'm not god? Does god not work in mysterious ways?
