A Day With My Mom....

........ is how we plan on spending today. She's 88, loves walking and looking at flowers so we are taking her to a place called " Minter Gardens ". It's 32 acres of beautifully landscaped property filled with all sorts of flora and fauna. Mrs.Guyzerr and myself were there 6 years ago just after I got back into photography and I came out with a few good shots. I'm taking my gear along today and expect to whack off a pile more.

To cap off our visit we'll stop at the cafe for a spot off tea, pinky extended of course.

We did have a very nice day.

It's kind of sad as we age we sometimes forget about our parents. I'm glad I still have mine and am trying to be more aware of her existence and include her in life's more enjoyable outings. If it wasn't for her and her fighting spirit none of us would have made it. She's a great lady.

Those are some beautiful gardens. I love the various little things dotted around like "grow a row", the statue (reminded me of a Dr Who episode), the stagecoach, the hat covered topiary/flower person etc. Very nice.

Those are some beautiful gardens. I love the various little things dotted around like "grow a row", the statue (reminded me of a Dr Who episode), the stagecoach, the hat covered topiary/flower person etc. Very nice.

They are very creative on those 32 acres. I tried to at least capture a bit of what's going on there and considering you caught a bunch of it I suppose I did ok.

As far as your request I can't deal with that until the veil has been lifted if you know what I mean.
