I guess the worst dream I ever had was when my family and I were on the Titanic. I was younger in this dream, and the ship was sinking (SHOCKER), but everyone was able to escape it. As we were all boarding off, I realized something: Mom was seated on the bench, still on the deck. I pleaded her, begged her to come with us, but she just said, "Go on without me," not even looking at any of us; instead, just painting her fingernails. The next thing I knew, I woke up crying.

What was the worst dream y'all had?

When I was about 15 till I was about 22 at least twice a year I had the same dream about being in a house that had snakes everywhere I looked and I could not escape it.

I had a dream once when I was a kid that I was playing in my back yard with a boy. All of a sudden he went up in flames and the fire was green. Then the lilac bushes on one side of the park that bordered the back yard were burning with that green fire as well. That's all I remember but it's stayed with me. I didn't realize what a deep impression it made on me until one time when I was in high school. We were doing an experiment in Chem class and it involved burning copper. That's when I discovered that copper gives off a green flame and it kinda freaked me out. :willy_nilly:

I have had alot of bad dreams. But I fail to remember them now. Forgot the amount of times I've woke up crying.

But lastnight, I did have a dream that my husband told me, he didn't love me anymore. lol

Told him about the dream, and luckily he said, "That will never happen" :D

There's 2 that come to mind right away.

In the first one I was inside a Burger King (which I didn't eat even in my fat kid days) and it was getting robbed. The robber fired his weapon and it nicked my neck. I was bleeding heavily and I ran to the bathroom (where my mom was) and was simultaneously calling 911. The person that answered when I called 911 put me on hold, not knowing what I was calling for (even though it was just a dream, I feel the need to clarify that I did NOT call an emergency line, LOL) and I'm calling for my mom yelling about being put on hold. She's still in the bathroom stall and is telling me that the person that answered the phone didn't know what I was calling about. She walks out and I've got my hand cupped over my neck (in my dream even though it was just a nick, it severed an artery) and I tell her that I just wanted to tell her goodbye. It was horrible.

The other one was so real that I literally was half asleep going "Oh my god...am I dreaming or is this really happening to me???" I dreamt that me and my bestfriend from middle school were locked in a mental ward together for some reason and we escaped. We picked a secluded road and climbed into a truck to sleep. Woke up to some guy on top of me w/ his hands around my throat telling me how he REALLY wanted my bestfriend but I would do...then he raped me. I literally could FEEL this guys hands around my throat. It was SO real that I was confused when I woke up and it took me a few minutes to figure out that, yes, it WAS just a dream.

A long time ago, I used to dream about Freddy Krueger.:eek In each and every dream he was chasing me. In the last dream I had about him he told me that the reason he had been chasing me for years in my dreams is because he wanted me to tie his shoelaces because he couldn't. Once I tied his shoelaces, I haven't seen him since.

LMFAO...that is HILARIOUS!!! I bet Freddy Kreuger WOULD have trouble tying his own shoelaces. No wonder he went around killing everybody!!!

Oh, it also freaks me out when I have dreams about people dying. I never actually SEE them die, but I'll be told in my dream that they did. When I wake up I always have to check and make sure they're okay. The last time it happened, I dreamed that I got a phone call that a detective friend of mine had "ate his gun." I texted him and was like "hey, I know this sounds crazy, but will you give me a call and let me know you're okay???" He was like "ummm, yeah crazy, I'm fine...I'm on vacation." It freaked me out, though.

I do that too. When I dream about people I know, I always call/text them the next day to make sure they're okay. I'm sure they think I'm crazy by now :willy_nilly:

Ever since my mom had a family friend come to her in what she thought was a dream, it's freaked me out. Our dear family friend, Mrs. Gallant, visited my mom and told her "Jean, I'm sorry, but I'm not going to be able to come see you anymore." She tried to call her for 2 or 3 days and, on the 3rd day, Mrs. Gallant's daughter answered the phone and told us that she had passed away.

Dreams like that run in my family and I've had my fair share of them. It's kinda freaky when it happens as I never know what is real and what is not. Hence, everyone thinks i'm batty. :24: Try telling someone you think they will be eaten by a shark in the middle of times square a day before they leave for New York.:eek

I had a couple toward the end of college that still really freak me out. Details are getting fuzzy, but in one I was kidnapped and held hostage in my own bedroom. I texted the police (apparently that's allowed in dreams) and the girl kidnapper turned them away. I started screaming "Oh god they've got me, help me help me HELP ME!" Someone started talking back to me and I woke up. On the phone. I can't imagine how the person on the other end felt.

There was a similar one not long after that, and I just remember waking up and leaving my face buried in the pillows because I knew if I looked, people would be standing.

After I moved here, I had my first experience with dream paralysis. I had a dream that the Rock was trying to attack me (I have no clue why the Rock was in my dreams). I woke up then, and had my back to the door. I was convinced someone was standing there watching me and couldn't even turn my head. After about five or ten minutes of freaking out and not being able to move, I fell back asleep, sort of into the same dream world. There was a turtle outside the bedroom window and then I was in the car with the turtle at a bus stop. Something about driving from the backseat, even though the car was sawed in half and pressed up against my bedroom window. A bunch of kids and parents were there, all wearing the same shirt. My mom came up and I was telling her all about everything and she said "I think you're going crazy, let's go see a psychiatrist" and I refused, so she pulled these happy pills out and then EVERYONE at the bus stop started crowding me (like in a zombie movie), trying to get me to take these pills.

Oh, I've had a couple of those "dream paralysis" things, they're very scary:eek

I was probably about 5 years old and I had a toy box with 2 chalk board style doors and 2 shelves above it. In my dream, I was woke up by the sound of fingernails against the inside of the chalk board doors and it kept getting louder. I heard something rummaging thru my toys. I tried to get out of bed, but couldn't. Then one of the doors started to slide open and I could see fingers with long fingernails, but that was it...no eyes or face.

I was finally able to move a little, so I rolled out of bed and started trying to scream for my mom, but I had no voice. I made my way down the hallway to the door of my parent's room when I felt something grab my ankles. I fell to the floor and started hitting it with my hands to get my mother's attention. She was sitting on the bed and just looked at me and smiled. I was pulled all the way back into my room and the door slammed shut...then I woke up.

worst for me was the recurring one i had as a kid.

when i first came to Canada i used to dream of this wolf thing chasing me up the stairs and i couldn't run fast. i was in slow motions so i would always wake up right as this wolf thing with red eyes chomped down on one of my ankles.

Horrible dream...i'm glad i don't still dream it. It stopped when i was around 16.
