I have tried to be honest all the time but its brutal
and I never get what I want

Honety gets you know where
in many situations but not all

dont be honest with your partner (wife etc..)
only tell her what makes her happy unless you just cannot live with the results

women be honest with your man all the way (cause men are more literal than women)

when it comes to money and work be as hosest as you have to be to stay out of trouble
but get what you can get cause the other guy is doing the same thing
and he will bite your head off (dog eat dog)
nice guys are always last (this statement is true)
when it comes to money and power

money is evil (materialistic) you only need what makes you happy
but if you dont get more than that well the guy that does get more than that will try and take yours
and you wont have enough to stop him

honesty is the best
but people cannot take it
and the dishonest people will take advantage of the honest people

Seriously I will not tell the truth if I know it's going to do more harm than good. I won't necessarily lie, but if telling the truth won't help a situation, I do believe in keeping my mouth shut. I am a very complimentary person, but I make legit compliments. There is usually something about everyone that one can comment favorably on. I like making people feel comfortable.

Exactly what I was going to say. I think, or I'd like to think that people don't lie just to lie, but to protect someone. But that is not the case. Some people are just liars. I used to be very gullible and believed all people to be honest in what they say to me. But I am finding it harder to trust lately based on finding out that people will lie more than I thought.

Although, I do sometimes manage to lie convincingly if it means I won't step on someone's toes. I need to get over that.

She will ask how clothes look on her and I answer honestly because she doesn't want to go out in public looking like crap!

However, I soften it by saying something like, "Why don't you put XXXX on with it and it'll be just fine!"

Still have all my teeth too, except for the ones I had the dentist pull.

I've asked my husband to do the same. Though sometimes when he answers "It's okay" I have to clarify- does it look bad, or is it just not to your taste? Generally, it's not to his taste (rather than looking bad), and I say okay, well then I'm fine wearing this.
