That is what I call it when my day gets the best of me and I just get on the mower and cut my 1.5 acres and about 1/2 acre next door. Do you do anything monotenous to relieve stress?

I usually go to the range and put holes in paper. Or go out to the desert and shoot clay pigeons and watermeons with a shot gun. Fishing is good and relaxing as well.

Fishing I enjoy but my options are limited so I don't want to wear out my welcome. I enjoy putting holes in paper but that has become an expensive proposition and access is limited. Shooting pigeons takes at least 2 people.

It does if you use the hand held. I have one that has a peddle on it that is long enough that it wont chop me in the shin.
I also buy my ammo at gun shows. So I get alot for less than I would pay at a gun shop.

I tend to attack the source of stress (figuratively) and either I feel awesome after or I get gassed out and end up even more stressed than before. It's not really a good method to follow. :p

I have always cleaned when I was stressed out. Much prefer to go to the driving range and blast the cover off a large bucket, but that adds up $$

Ammo prices spiked around here earlier this year. A brick of .22's was like $35. :eek

Like I said I go to gun shows for that stuff. $80 dollars for a ammo can of 300 rounds of 40 cal and about the same for 9mm. But those are reloads.

I think prices have leveled some but still hard to find somewhere to shoot the big guns.

I guess that is where I am lucky we have all this desert to choose from. Plus we have indoor and outdoor ranges.

All the country around here now has houses on it.

i usually chop some wood or go do yard work

When I used my fireplace often I have split a few chords to work out stress.

I have a MS290 Stihl with a 20" bar.... I like to fire that bitch up and do some real damage...

I axed quite a few trees when I lived with my mother and she got on my nerves.

I like taking baths, driving real fast in my convertible with the top down, taking my dogs to the property and running with them, calling one of my girl friends.

Does weedeating relieve stress for you too, Fred? If so, come on up to my place. We can both be stress free when those are gone!

When I get super stressed, I usually try to take a nap. However, I am also bad about biting my fingernails. If I am stressed AND angry, I will work on cleaning the house.

Just been doing this the last couple of days

Trivia question...

How many of these

01.jpg

can you get from these

02.jpg

and how many trailer loads (from the first pic) does it take to make one of these? (keep in mind, the pile is a good 8' high (bon fire for the winter LOL)

I've just found that when it comes to cutting wood, you can't really do much damage with a chainsaw, just maintain and clear what you have. NEVER &*&%$# ending:D

I do find cutting 16" logs somewhat refreshing, it's just hauling everything else to the burn pile that whoops my butt LOL

John is getting a little smarter as I get older. A condo on the beach is looking better and better for retirement.
