How sheltered are you, quite honestly, that you feel offended for other people in an issue that isnt even really a concern?
Schoolyards are full of foul language, I learned my first swear words in second grade. Used them in fourth grade, and that was at a private school!
Honestly words are only taboo because people in society have made them that way. Theres no reason to be offended of the word itself, only connotation.
I don't need to swear to make my point, but I think that a 'minor's' exposure to a few swear words isn't our concern, it should be the parent's

Ultimately after thinking about it, you're right. I just find it a shame that a somewhat decent forum would put up with such language that allows minors to join and post.

I realize it's a "real world" out there, and I'm certain I've been through more adversity and tribulations than some here, but I've learned to try and better my life.

Sorry, but IMO there is no reason to allow obscene language on a "normal" basis on a public social forum.

1. Parents let the children online and join. parent's can control how long, and where the child can go (it's up to them to follow through)

2. It's not your forum... it's V's. And she wanted it this way... we live our real lives with rules, she wanted a place where the rules were slack and people could cut loose and have fun. Anyone can join, we have areas those under 16 & 18 cannot see and will not see until they reach that age and prove themselves to this forum they can handle it.

3. Keep in mind, the site is free. Don't like it... log out and find some religious site. I bet they don't allow swearing.

That reminds me, "The art of war" is a good read, applicable to many things and not just the obvious.

On another note, I knew this guy who read that book and then he got rid of all his material possessions and starting fasting all day - he would eat one protein bar when the sun went down. I mean he was fucking bonkers before he read the book, but the book made him cranky and more creepy.

He kept inviting me to go see his room - he said with all his furniture and stuff gone there was plenty of room to roll around.
