I was simultaneously proud and a little sad last night.

A normal conversation with Zac when he's thirsty usually goes something like this:

Zac: I'm thirsty
Me: that's nice
*a few second pause*
Zac: I need a drink
Me: Okay
*pause again*
Zac: Can I have a drink?
Me: What do we say when we ask for things?
Zac: Please
Me: Please what?
Zac: Can I have a drink please
Me: okay

but last night

Zac: I'm thirsty
Me: That's nice
Zac: Can I have a drink please?

I was all proud of him because he's finally learned what he needs to say when he's asking for things. I was sad because it was another reminder that he's growing up.

Six fucking phone calls from work this morning... starting at 9am. None of them were productive at all because I didn't have to do anything. Why didn't I have to do anything? Oh gee, I don't know... maybe it was because there wasn't anything for me to do except to go look at a few server processes and tell them that they were, in fact, working just fine. Then repeat the exercise like 20 minutes later.

I don't get paid enough for this shit.

Worst day of work in a while, and that's saying something. Fucking boss blasts me in our meeting for not getting something done that he consistently tells me other things are a higher priority. Then a printer isn't working, a printer that I said needed to be replaced, put in the budget to be replaced, and the person told my boss that it didn't need to be replaced because she could supposedly fix it if something went wrong with it. Well guess what, it's not working now... when I mentioned that this is why I said it needed to be replaced, she lied to my fucking face and told me that she agreed but that it wasn't her choice.

Fuck this. I'm sick of being treated like fucking shit by all of these know nothing cocksuckers, I'm tired of being lied to, I'm tired of it all. I'd walk out the fucking door right now and never come back if I could, but I need a job and they're not exactly readily available around here. Fuck this fucking goddamn motherfucking bullfuckingshit.

But fuck. That's about par for the course in my life anyway. People treat me like shit outside of work. I'm their friend when they want me to be or when it's convenient for them or if they feel like it. But the moment I need a little help or someone to talk to, they're gone. There are some exceptions, but that's pretty fucking much the general fucking rule when it comes to me. Everyone judges me for every fucking thing that I do and acts like all of the shit that goes on in my life is my own fault and I deserve it.

Fuck everything.
