What is the weirdest, most exotic, or just strange food you have eaten?

Probably mushrooms.

I think the strangest thing for me is snails. They were ok, covered in a garlic sauce so really thats all you could taste.
I used to eat ostrich regularly, I don't find it strange but some people do. Its delicious

The garlic sauce of course is YUmmy
Snails ?? Wow that's strange food Weren't you grossed out knowing it's snails? Was it slimy, maybe?

Papaya and there is this fruit with some spikes on them, not a pineapple

I've had same thing in sushi- I like eel. Shark? not so much- it's just OK

There is a fruit that is similar to that I have eaten, I thought it was poisonous because of the spikes. Lead me to believe that the shops were hell bent on killing its customers

Oyster is actually good and doesn't taste like sea if it's fresh. Maybe what was served to you wasn't fresh huh?

I've not tried buffalo or deer. I heard buffalo meat is tough? is it? How's the taste? :ninja

Mine wasn't tough, but I had buffalo sausage. Maybe it's different plain. The taste was normal sausage taste lol. Too many oils of seasoning to really get the flavor. I have deer most deer seasons though. I'm a big fan =D

Chewy? As my grandma always told me before- Seafood -squid, snails, shellfish etc is not supposed to be overcooked otherwise it turns to be chewy like rubber. :eek Maybe that's the case with your conch :willy_nilly:

yeah maybe - it was breaded, and i needed a lot of cheap rum to get it down ( was in the caribbean )

Just as long as the buffalo sausage doesn't stink :eek -I'll be fine trying it
