heres how it works,i simply want this wasp identified,the first person who gives me a definate identification gets the tokenz

of course i could post it on a relevant forum and find out in minutes but this way is more fun

It looks like it could be one of these two.. I can't make a very good assessment because the wings are closed and I can't see more body details..
Based on what I can see, I'm going with the first one..

Having been attacked and bitten by more than 200 subterranean ones three years ago, after stepping on a nest, I'm completely freaked out at this moment :willy_nilly: :willy_nilly:
I would keep comparing photos and looking at more pictures for you, but I'm going nuts scratching!.. :ninja

This is a good site ~huge!~ for identification of bugs from the US and Canada, so the species you have in the UK could vary a little.

It's the second one for sure.


i looked at wasp pictures and found about 6 species that look identical to this,even lordv didn't know which one it is,,ans with the none existance of a british wasp society i'm thinking that using a wasp was a mistake....hence the other thread i made:D
