Ever wished you were an only child?

I wish I had siblings to deal with my crazy parents...the way things have progressed in my life, it would have been nice to have siblings to band together with. It's possible we wouldn't have gotten along, though...

I never talk much to my brother or sister and we live in the same house. They've always been closer to each other (only 18months between them age wise whereas I'm nearly 4 years older than my sister and 5½ years older than my brother) and I've always just done my own thing.

That's exactly how I feel - it would be so boring without them - and it's great to have siblings when your parent gets ill - even to just talk to.

Also - I would have hated to be the center of attention - I liked being able to fly under the radar at times :ninja

im not an only child, but i was more or less raised as one. my brother and sister are 8 and 9 yrs older than i am. so there was no sibling rivalry, no doing stuff together cause i was too young/them too old, etc. i basically got the best of both worlds. it was nice!

I don't wish that I was an only child... but there are times (like this weekend) when I wish my brother wasn't my brother. He and his wife are the most selfish sacks of shit I've ever come in contact with. On the other hand, my sister and I get along great, and have a closer relationship now than we ever have before.
