To Camm's daughter's defense - if this helps her defense - about ten of my friends said the same thing

It took us trillions? and ten years. And is it really that good of a blow to the Al qaeda.

The part of Obama's speech tonight that said that Osama bin Laden had immediately been identified as a threat after 9/11 or something like that didn't ring true to me.

Because in case we all forget, Bush was wanting to in to Iraq pretty heavy handedly for WMD's that didn't exist. Meanwhile, Osama slipped away.

I don't think it makes me a conspiracy theorists when I distrust the US government. I think it makes me smart. To be honest, I don't care tremendously if Osama bin Laden is caught, because to me, he was not the only one responsible for 9/11. He certainly wasn't responsible for all the soliders who died in the Iraq war. To me, there are bigger problems in America right now that could do more harm to our country than some guy on dialysis like polar politics driven by ignorance and the deficit.

Now if they had said they killed Osama and found 9 trillion dollars sitting next to him, THAT would make me happy. Or if politicians could stop being such assholes and talking out their ass and cheating and lying and actually solve a problem, THAT would make me happy.

THAT would restore some of my faith for my country. Finding a man who we at first ignored to pursue our own political agenda in the wrong country ten years and trillions of dollars after the fact is to me, not a victory.

Maybe that makes me stupid, but that's my opinion.

they now have access to his wealth for compensation etc

No, I didn't miss it at all. It's also irrelevant. Because the comment was directed towards the United States... that we had spent all this time and money, with the implication that it should've happened far earlier. Effectively saying that the hunt for bin Laden was incompetent and others could have done it more efficiently.

I'm not entirely certain what about the porn comment is difficult to understand. The United States was spending money and resources to find bin Laden, and Australia felt that banning women with small boobs from porn was more important.

Basically, I was making a comment that could be seen as disrespectful as well. An equally idiotic statement.

do you think that america pays for all of the coalition involvement?.....its cost the british taxpayer untold amounts to be involved with the coalition

Nope, and I never said that. I'm merely commenting on this one statement...

"Well it only took them a decade and billions of dollars to find an invalid on dialysis. mmm well done boys U.S.A, U.S.A!!:cool

It's referring directly to the United States and the money and time spent.

....Im not doing the round about logic dance with you....coz only YOU understand your logic.

WE have troops there TOO...and have done since Bush asked us. WE have also spent time, money and LIVES...but you come along and say we were more interested in some porn thing?

Thats not only disrespectful, its a lie...and rather funny, now that you have attempted to explain it.

Oh....and we dont have the resources and troops YOU guys do, yet WE had to fight YOUR (Bush's) war too

I find it disrespectful that not one person HAS mentioned all the co-alition forces that helped your asses...its all "USA USA"

You know the US has a bad reputation right now for things like invading countries where they don't belong, but if all the other coalition governments send troops ( and we all know their history) then why does the US get so much heat for it?

No need to get all uppity on me there cam. I simply made a statement that was equally as ridiculous as your daughter's. Nothing more and nothing less. I wasn't claiming that Australia hadn't sent any troops or spent money. It appears as though my point was made. You got offended over what I had to say, the same way that people could be offended by what your daughter said. Not a lie, merely satire.

Mission accomplished. (yes, pun intended) ;)

Because the big bad USA forced them to.

either with us or against us?;)

You have to take that statement in context

Our response involves far more than instant retaliation and isolated strikes. Americans should not expect one battle, but a lengthy campaign, unlike any other we have ever seen. It may include dramatic strikes, visible on TV, and covert operations, secret even in success. We will starve terrorists of funding, turn them one against another, drive them from place to place, until there is no refuge or no rest. And we will pursue nations that provide aid or safe haven to terrorism. Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. (Applause.) From this day forward, any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime.

No, it is ridiculous in that it implies that the United states was inefficient in tracking down bin Laden. It implies that money was wasted and that it shouldn't have cost as much or taken as long as it did. It could be offensive to some, but it is still patently false.

What I said was just as much bullshit as your daughter's comment was. I know that, and that was the point of my saying it. Point, set, match. ;)

Foul!...who says you ref your own game.;)

It implies what you want it too...all the quote does is tell it how it is/was. ;)...but hey, if you take it that way, thats your prerogative.

Slam dunk...hits the showers.
