I totally believe that the government is lying to us about pretty much everything. My father has been working for the government almost 30 years. And while he can't tell me what I want to know, his lack of explanations says multitudes. :ninja

I'm quite sure that there are aliens (or at least beings from somewhere other than Earth) and I'm quite sure that Japan is probably teetering on the edge of the world about to fall off, but we'll never know. The government has become quite prolific in keeping secrets from the public, and I doubt that is likely to ever change.

Believe it or not, my Dad once had a retired, high-ranking officer at our house for dinner years ago. Yes, the government DOES keep secrets--big ones! I'm not one to buy any conspiracy theory and I consider most who do to be nutjobs, but he basically confirmed that we're not alone in this universe.
