I'm not getting my knickers in a twist over anything? What the heck are you talking about? I'm discussing.

I wasn't directing that at you.. You said you took it down because some people weren't happy about it, therefore they were getting their knickers in a twist which is ridiculous.

i think if you have to point out race at all for this, then its the one pointing that has the issue with race.

I just saw a stupid person, not a black person.

People need to chill the fuck out. It's so stupid how black people can make fun of white people all the time, but the second a white person laughs at or makes a black joke "OMG YOUR A FUCKING RACIST". Get over it. Your ancestors from 100+ years ago were enslaved. Good GOD that shit pisses me off. I have a lot of black friends, and everyone of them would've laughed at that. :dunno

Back to the OP... That is fucking hilarious :)

Peter I know you are not racist, but there's tons of this shit circulating at my office, and most of it is made by racist pieces of trash.

My ex boss used to love these because it proved to her how superior white people were with their real names. Meanwhile her name was Donielle - like her daddy's name was Don, so her name is Donielle. Not Danielle :cool

I can't highlight and copy and paste here, but the article says it all.

lol - ok this shows your ignorance on this subject, but you're young right? And you may not come from a place where there are a lot of black people.

I'm up for a good joke as much as the next person, and I would think this is funny, but I am sensitive to it because my boss already showed this to me months ago, and SHE was doing it as a racist joke.

People are not sensitive about race just because of slavery. I don't know if you've ever heard of the Civil Rights Movement or anything like that, but there's been more recent issues with race than slavery. Racism is still VERY active in Louisiana, and I would hazard to say all over the US.

That being said, I'm really happy to see that most of you guys saw it as a joke and not a racist joke - that says a lot :) I definitely know Peter is not a racist and wouldn't play that card :p

I just don't think it's funny because of how it's being used here where I live. Or how it was used in front of me to make a racist joke. I could understand how people would take offense, but I guess it's all about where you're from and what your history is.

I've seen this several places on the internet- not the picture, but the name.

Honestly, I'm about done with all the foofy made-up names. And the "unique" spellings. I know Brittney's with five different spellings. I know Ashley's with three or four.

And to top that off, why on God's green earth would a parent do that to their child? That child's name is going to be mispronounced for the rest of their life.

I live in Miami. Actually, I live in a part of Miami that is predominately black. I'm not racist, I'm not ignorant, and I'm not stupid. I didn't see it as racist. In fact, if there hadn't been a picture of a little black girl, one could've very well thought that it was ANYONE. Do you know how many whites, hispanics, middle easterns, etc. that I've seen who use ebonics? My point was that its stupid how black people get so uppity about this crap. A joke is a joke. I'm aware racism is still very alive. You don't think I get looked at funny and made fun of because I'm a white, redhead that doesn't speak spanish? I have LOADS of Cuban friends, they all can make a joke about how they can't drive. My sisters in law are both Puerto Rican. They make fun of how ditzy they can be. The people that can't learn to laugh at silly things like this are the ignorant ones.

Same here... Stop trying to be effing original... I know plenty of black people with normal names.

You shouldn't have to justify yourself. Some people are just oversensitive and like to call people out when they don't agree.

Apparently I do need to justify. Since I'm white and found a black joke funny, I'm ignorant.

Somebody quote me so Ms. Stick Up Her Tush can read this. Janie, you seem to love to dish out insults to people whose opinions differ from your own. Nobody has insulted you yet you get all snippy with Tom and Megan, when they haven't insulted you. You need to take a long walk off a short pier. You are not Miss Thing.
