Pretty sure it's the natural history museum in London it was a while ago and we went to the science museum as well, but I think that was more... linear.

Um.... he threatened to quit posting well before you commented. I also told him outright we were done once he quit posting which apparently he couldn't stop. I wanted to get a message across to him and believe I did even though it took longer than expected.

I've never been one to call a spade a spade. I've always called it a fucking shovel. Now if he pops his head in here again I'll speak my mind as I've done since he started with his uninvited critiques to which he was advised long ago were unappreciated or unwelcome. It should be apparent that a few of us are tired of his snide and condescending comments and considering he picked my thread to do it again all bets are off. All one has to do is follow the bouncing ball. Speaking of snide comments. As I pointed out to him I saw his snide comment in another thread. I didn't respond there out of respect for Ian but in my thread I will say to him what's on my mind.

The difference between you and him is that you have been helpful to others on the site. But.... I don't think anyone should critique anyone unless it was asked for. Kind of a mixed message I know but that's my take on it.

So.... I don't want to misunderstand.... Are you saying that when you post pictures in a thread.... any thread.... no one should come in and tell you what they think? Whether they like something or not..... or what they might have done differently?

So.... I don't want to misunderstand.... Are you saying that when you post pictures in a thread.... any thread.... no one should come in and tell you what they think? Whether they like something or not..... or what they might have done differently?

No I'm not saying that at all. What I am saying is whatshisname continues to critique not only my stuff but others as well and never posts anything of his own. That bugs the hell out of me. Kinda like a back seat driver that doesn't hold a drivers license. Shut the fuck up, sit back and enjoy the ride if you don't want to drive. I suggested to him many times to post something and all I ever heard was bullshit excuses. I told him more than once to put up or shut up and he wasn't getting the message so I made it very clear once again in this thread exactly what I thought. I can take a lot of shit but only for so long.

If he starts posting some stuff of his own as well as offer concrete advice instead of doing a little wiggle dance then he can say what ever the hell he wants and it won't bother me one bit. Until then I'm like a lit stick of dynamite.

Oh... one more thing. When he made his comment about eagles and birds I took him off the BBQ invite list. What fucking right does he have to spout that shit when ... fuck it ! He simply isn't.... fuck it as well!

I think your bird and plane pics take just as much talent as shooting a still. Trying to get the timing of the shot plus having the settings right. So continue on. Plus as you know I am damn jealous of your seeing those baldies all the time. Not that I want to live in the vicinity of where you do

When we met for breaky (which reminds me when is the next one ?) we both agreed that Forum posts would and never not get to us..

It's easy for people to bitch about other peoples stuff, but something else to put up your own work for people to review and comment on.. It says a lot about your character..

Personally I don't take to much personally as I know I could be dealing with someone who just knows every subjects in the world.. Amazing how some people are just so freaking perfect at everything in life and trust me I know a few in real life as well as forum life.. I take them with the grain of salt there as well.

Funny you should mention planes cuz I'm working on some right now. Aircraft in flight are a lot easier than shooting musicians bouncing around a stage. I mean.. the planes are just going a few hundred miles an hour ... sometimes faster.... sometimes slower. Thanks for the comments none the less. Actually it isn't as easy as one thinks. It's my favorite thing as far as photography is concerned. Always has been, always will.

That's the thing about baldies. Probably the most majestic bird in North America and not one that everyone will get a chance to see in real life never mind photograph. I'm lucky in that respect because they are all over the place this time of year. It's getting close enough that's the challenge. As spring / summer gets into gear they will take off for Alaska and other northern areas. Then it's back to those stupid easy to shoot aircraft or even worse... flowers. Aarggggggg

Tomorrow being Saturday I plan on working one these farm yards all day so that's out. If it's raining I have some machinery I need to take into town to get fixed as well as some other chores. I would be up for a meet-up this Sunday but it would have to be early... and I mean around 7:30AM or at the latest 8AM :eek . I am planning on going to Reifel to shoot some birdies for whatshisname and it opens at 9 sharp. If that doesn't work we could plan on etching in stone the first Saturday or Sunday that it's supposed to rain.

I still remember your sons laugh when he saw that lens. That was priceless.

Ok Prick... here's some easy ones just for you.

The one thing that sets aircraft apart from birds is that one does have a chance of shooting it again if you screw it up because the plane might actually come around again. :thumbup

I've taken thousands of aircraft shots and this one has to be my favorite. It isn't the actual plane that's my fav even though I do like it a lot but the way the shot happened to come out. I love fluffy clouds in my aircraft shots and this one has 'em with the plane smack dab in the middle of a big blue spot.

I hate buildings unless they are old barns and such. We don't have any castles here or I would shoot those. Anyone know where castles hang out?
