Just saw an advert for a free pomeranian puppy on gumtree I really want it. It's all fluffy and adorable looking.

I feel proud. I actually started writing today, after weeks of thinking 'tomorrow'. I read a blog by a writer who was talking about how useless they think 'how to write' books are, and that you have to hone it yourself, through whatever means works for you. And I saw an article the other day about how the only reason it's so difficult to start is because it's scary to face the possibility of the reality being less than the perfect scenario in your head.

So I started

Haha thanks it's the start of a book. I've been trying to write a book since I was 13. It's gone through a lot of changes but I think I have it figured out this time.

Twice, I've written versions that were 200+ pages long. But they both stalled, so although I've still got them, I'm starting over, and I think it might work this time

Cool! What genre? I've had several books going in my head but I don't have the ability to translate them into type.

I'm bad at putting it into a genre, I think it's fantasy, as in it involves some magic and it's not set in the modern day and people wear cloaks and stuff like that

Trying to focus on this one because sometimes I think up other ideas and think 'ooh that would be good!' and get sidetracked :24:

Maybe the other ideas you have - you can write them very briefly on a small notebook . Just so, you don't lose those side-tracking ideas which you can utilize for your next book . Afterwards then you can focus more on your main book. Just a suggestion
