She was due yesterday but she always goes a bit late so she'll probably foal next week sometime. Apparently the day crew is having problems with her biting and striking when they try to handle the foal. To be honest, I have been pleasantly surprised at the mare as she seems to tolerate me when I have to do things with her. Perhaps she hates me the least.I'm just glad to see mama-horse didn't kill you.

True story: I once asked why the mare's barn name is Bree. Her registered name is Simply Magic and Bree is nowhere near that. I was told that after she was aquired and her less than charming personality was revealed they started calling her Sabrina (as in the witch) which was later shortened to Bree.![]()
