Just because you are from The South does not mean it is in your blood to make good sweet tea. :(

I have some tweaking left to do. Or maybe I'm just meant to drink obscene quantities of the stuff, and not deal with the chore of making it. As hubby cries, "Blasphemy! You can't give up trying."

EDIT: I've been called out for misquoting. I am now a newsreporter. (He said I couldn't quit trying after the sad face. I put the rest where it belonged.)

That's what Nanny says.

I put two cups into my gallon jug. Something still isn't right though... Matt says too much tea. So does Luzianne. I did 4 bags and they say three (for sun tea), but 1 for a quart( for boiling water tea), so pardon my math degree, but something just does not add up right. LOL

It's not AWFUL, but I've definitely had better.

:eek 2 cups of sugar in a gallon jug?! :eek

ONE cup of sugar in a gallon of hot, steeped tea.

What size teabags are you using? Family size, or regular?

Family size.

I like sweet tea. We've knocked out half a gallon already and only poured the first glasses when I started this thread. Of course, my cup is three times the size of Matt's, but that's beside the point.

I also put three heaping spoons of sugar in my coffee, so maybe my taste buds are .... what's the word... um... I don't know. Someone help me out?

Ok, so you like it really sweet. Knock yourself out, doll. :)

Family sized bags. 3 for a gallon of tea.

Now, are you steeping the bags, or using a coffee maker? :eek

LOL! I was going to say to Gold Dust that we are from the SOUTH where the tea is SWEET :D

And Hotty, some people take years to perfect their recipe, and then it always differs on what type of tea you like.

I personally like to use a bit of honey and a tad of mint, but I know that's non traditional ;)

sweet tea and bacon are 2 things I will never give up for any diet or any reason ever

OMG! BACON!!! Since coming off being a vegetarian I add it to everything! Then I sing that little song like on the dog treat commercial. Bacon Bacon Bacon BACON!!!!!
