The F.A.Cup thread

Man Utd at home to Crawley, that's got to be on telly! Would be the mother of all FA cup shocks if Crawley were to win that! Nice pay day for them, anyway!

i'd have to throw my chair out because i'd literally piss myself

Wow, West Ham still in the cup, must be their season :24:

better an iron than a supporter of a club who still think they're a big club.....those days are long gone

How are Liverpool doing in the cup? :24:

its our fate in life peter seeing as we love our clubs because they're our club and not just for the trophies

Crawley at home will be interesting. We'll play a slightly weakened team because the Champions League is the midweek after, get critcised because we're not 4-0 up by half time, and scrap a 2-0 win. Maybe. It'll be a great payday for them though.

It's not the official line up, just speculation.

Interestingly, we have registered 4 players for the competion, Josh King, Paul Pogba, Ryan Tunnicliffe and Oliver Norwood. I wouldn't mind seeing King get a runout, he played against Wolves a while back and looked good and has improved in that time in the reserves.

Chelsea 1-1 Everton so far, onto penalties now. Frank Lampard scored for Everton in the first half of extra time and Leighton Baines equalised in the second half.

First penalty for Chelsea - Lampard.......SCORES. Chelsea up 1-0

Baines up for Everton.......Saved!

Chelsea can go 2-0 up here, Drogba to take. 2-0 it is.

Jagielka up now. He scores, 2-1.

Chelsea still hold the advantage though, Anelka though misses!

Everton have a chance here to level it. Mikael Arteta to take.

2-2!

Michael Essien now for Chelsea, 3-2 to Chelsea.

Back to Everton and the 4th kick will be taken by Heitinga, who scores for 3-3. Last penalties before possible sudden death now.

Ashley Cole with Chelsea's 5th kick. SKIES IT!

Everton can win it here.......Phil Neville to take.

4-3! Everton are through.

2005 was worse, Jones, Eagles. Even imports like Miller and Bellion were awful.

If you look at the current crop, it doesn't inspire much confidence, but the good part is the more senior players aren't that old, so it's not a massive concern yet. The two Da Silva twins are good, they can be very goiod, well, Rafael moreso. Evans is ok but not top class, though could still improve, though again I rate Smalling higher. Bebe and Obertan will never be good enough. Gibson is too old now to make me believe he will make it. He's 23, if he was to make it here he would have done so already. King looks good from what I have seen thus far, and had the score been more handsome tonight he might well have got his chance. I'll be honest, I haven't really seen the others. But it's better than 2005. It'll never be the 92 team, but that's a really hard thing to do.
