Why hasn't this train wreck been closed yet?

It starts off with an insult in the SECOND WORD OF THE TITLE.

It seems to be nothing but a big 'ol bear trap, trying to see who it can lure in for a good hand slap.

How in the blue hell do you equate asking why the rules seem to be, shall we say, flexible with "having an agenda" against the MODs? Hell, I consider a couple of them as friends. I have one or two on my freaking cell phone.

I have "an agenda" against what I see as a place that I happen to really enjoy going to the dogs because of unfair application of the rules. I have "an agenda" against having the temerity to question a MOD and rather than receiving an adult answer getting accused of having a personal vendetta. God forbid a commoner asks for clarification on a point.

I have "an agenda" against my online home turning into, as Guyzer coined it, a "day care", where the residents are told to play nice and the MODs are to be viewed as GOD.

This thread was a train wreck from it's inception, yet it was kept open until people where banned. Why?
You have a Golden Rule of "Don't insult" and the very TITLE of this thread is an insult? Why?

You summed up exactly what seems to be happening here as of late. Matter of fact I'm in the throws of a very serious discussion with a mod about this very issue. It's bringing the forum down on it's knees ands some people just don't get it. Fortunately the mod that I am in discussions with is very fair and doesn't bring her personal feelings into the fray.

One thing I learned while being in management for a great many years is leave your personal attitudes at the door when you walk into work. Never manage with fear and intimidation... never. It comes with age and experience.

As I see it the OP requested the thread be closed and it should have been done immediately. By a mod refusing to do so and stating why in public just brings more shit flingin'. Keep in mind we've been told many times if an OP wants a thread closed just say so. Well... he said so.

First off I never said it was you. I like to keep names out of controversial issues as much as I can. If a person chooses he / she can go hunt for it themselves. Secondly, if you have the ability to close a thread and you think within the guidelines of the forum it's warranted then close it regardless of who made the previous decision. The key here is... leave your personal feelings at the door.

I know you're young, but a little advice: if you're in a position of management (which you are) don't start a sentence with "I didn't do it" or "Not my job" or "Don't ask me." It only serves to diminish your own authority and convey the idea that you're trying to duck the question.

Either way, I get what you're saying- it's above your paygrade.

Given it was Audraa is the one to keep it open I can see why none of the lesser mods have stepped in to close this.

I get her point. He started this to stir up things and it worked and he deserved to get responses.

Probably enough time has passed to accomplish that though.

I think one of the problems some of have is just the inconsistency.

Perhaps the end result has nothing at all to do with this thread..... Perhaps people should stop jumping to their own conclusions.

In the end.... Moderators and Administrators do the best that they can. Not everyone will be pleased with every decision that is made.

That's life in a nutshell.
