Is it just me or..

It's one of the reasons yeah, the advantage of FB/MSN over a traditional chatroom is you have a good degree of control over who you talk to immediately, whereas on chatrooms anyone can talk to you.

The thing is too, FB has their chat mechanism built in. Hence, there's no reason to go on MSN, unless you're talking to people who don't have facebook, which is becoming less common everyday.

It's interesting to think: when will facebook lose its popularity?

Pretty much, not having Facebook is the Internet equivalent of having no dick these days.

I doubt it will because of the fact that it's not just somewhere you go and chat to people, you put pics on there, you join common interest groups and everything else. If nothing else sites like photobucket and flickr will go out of popularity. It's the same thing with Twitter, people think that's not so popular, it actually is. It's an essential tool for journalists to provide real time updates to people, moreso than can be achieved on news sites. People who think Twitter is just a website where you put "I just had a crap" are best just to avoid it.

eek, never got any reply notices... people are on all the time for ages, say 5 or more at a time then boomph, NO ONE is on... but i have yahoo and msn... don't know anyone on aim or i'd redownload.. FB chat usually crashes tho so that isn't too popular atm anyway.
But yeah if anyone wants me to add them anywhere,,msg me on here or put your addy's here if your comfortable enough doing it. mehh :ninja

I used to chat a lot on MSN but it seems to have gotten a lot less popular with my friends. I'm still always logged in to MSN but I appear offline most of the time. I find that when I go online I tend to forget that I'm appearing online. Then I leave and someone tries to chat when I'm actually not there...or else I get awakened in the middle of the night. :ninja

I absolutely DETEST messengers. I have all of mine shut down, including the chat option on Facebook. There are people that pounce as soon as you sign in on ANY messenger and then they'll keep you tied up for 30 minutes talking about nothing until you figure out an excuse to sign off. Those are the people that caused me to turn mine off, LOL
