Think Liverpool will be concerned about getting any kind of European football, the way things are going, lol!

Thought we were going to confirm going down today but the way things are going, you know we might just about stay in next week.

Birmingham are taking a battering at home to Fulham apparently, only 1-0 though. One goal could change the whole course of things. Arsenal are losing 2-0 at home to Villa which as it stands means Man City will overtake them if they beat Stoke on Tuesday.

The way it stands, we go into the final game with 3 points to make up and 2 goal difference. Should make the goal difference up if we beat Sunderland and both Birmingham and Blackpool lose. Think a Tottenham team who need to win to get in Europe will beat Birmingham at home. The problem is Wigan, any other time you'd expect Man Utd to beat them at home but Man Utd have won the title now and will probably stick out the reserves and not give a shit while Blackpool are playing for their lives. Think Blackpool will probably grab at least a point from that.

Yeah we'll get fined for it too which is fine, it's not our fault the other teams aren't good enough to avoid a relegation battle. That said I think even our reserves will beat Blackpool at home. It won't be that weakened either because the second leg of the youth cup final is on the day after so the likes of Olly Gill, Norwood, Morrison etc won't play. The team will probably be PIG, Brown, Evans, O'Shea, Fabio, Bebe, Gibson, Fletcher, Obertan, Owen and Berbatov.

Four players who I reckon will not be playing for Liverpool next

Woy's buys
Mereiles - despite playing good under Dalglish
Cole - enough said about his appearances
Poulsen - Didn't even feature much Hodgson

Benitez
Kyrgiakos - probably the worse defender in the biz
Ngog - another who hasn't featured much under Dalglish
Jovanović - not played enough

I think a few more like Lucas and Johnson (both Benitez's buy) will go as well

Good to see things back to normal and West Ham pissing away a game we should have had sewn up at half time. Thanks Wigan for putting us out of our misery so we dont have to go through any more agony next week. We've been shit, had no fight and full of mercenaries all season and deserve to go down. Now lets get rid of the overrated, overpaid crap, the worst Premiership manager ever and bring through some players who actually want to play for West Ham next season. Oh, and I hope Keane just rots away on the Tottenham bench.
Que sera sera, whatever will be will be, we're going to Coventry, que sera sera.

He did an alright job at Chelsea (albeit the groundwork had already been done by Mourinho) but he still picked them up to take us to the final day of the Premier League and took them to the Champions League final, lost both though to us, and got Chelsea to the League Cup final but lost again. Even had he won both he still would have been sacked.

I think the problem is he just isn't a number one. He'd be a good first team coach somewhere probably, but never a number one.

Just because I'm bored, here are the permutations for next week.

Teams still in the relegation scrap

Wigan
Blackpool
Birmingham
Wolves
Blackburn

Wigan need at least a point to stay up, if they draw with or beat Stoke and both Birmingham and Blackpool lose, Wigan will stay up. They could even stay up with a defeat, but to do that they'd have to avoid a mauling and hope Birmingham and Blackpool get one almighty hammering.

Blackpool are in the same situation as Wigan but they go to Man United on the last day.

Birmingham with a win would pretty much guarantee safety, other than that they could get away with drawing or even losing at Spurs but they'd have to hope both Wigan or Blackpool don't better their result.

The winner of Wolves vs Blackburn are guaranteed survival, both could stay up with a draw depending on other results. The loser could still go down, again depending on other results, and could still stay up with a defeat, same principle, while boh amazingly could still go down, other results depending. It's not in either sides benefit to play for a draw.

At the top Spurs will guarantee 5th place if they beat Birmingham. Liverpool go to Villa on the last day.

Man City could finish 3rd and will with two wins against Stoke on Tuesday and Bolton next Sunday. Arsenal need to beat Fulham on the last day and hope Stoke or Bolton do them a favour.
